Candy Crush...and other games (Flappy Bird)

I'm so done with this game.
Or maybe I'm just bitter because I've been stuck on the same level for about a week (level 102, anyone?). I first got into this game last month. I had actually started playing it earlier, when the craze was starting and then I deleted it, but, yeah, I downloaded it again last month and I've played my way to level 102...and now I'm stuck because of those stupid bombs and those stupid ingredients. So, I'm kinda feeling dejected and I'm ready to pretty much give up. And it's not just Candy Crush. It's like every 3 months there's a new game out and a craze that comes along with it that lasts for a few weeks and then it's over (Temple Run, Dots, this stupid game, and the most infamous right now, Flappy Bird). The creator of Flappy Bird, poor guy, took it off the App Store because he knew how addictive and harmful it was becoming to players and on top of that he was receiving death threats from disgruntled players. And while the game was highly addictive and a fuel to my anger issues, after about playing it continuously for a week, I got bored with it. But if you're still a fan and must sustain your addiction, replacement apps have been created, or should I say rip-offs. There's one called Splashy Fish, another named Flappy Wings, and many others - Flappy Swim, Grabby Bird, Flappy the City Flyer, oh, and my favorite, Floppy Worm (I can't believe they used a worm!).
But, anyways, my main point in writing this is that we can't let game manufacturers suck us into these addictive trends. We're better than this so we have to get a hold of ourselves.

P.S. All this talk of Flappy Bird has enticed me to play the game...I just got an 11.

Have a good day!

Just give me a minute to tell you what's up.

I doubt many people are still following this blog since I've been such a terrible blogger and basically stayed radio silent for over two months, but I'm coming back feeling refreshed and filled with a ton of ideas (and I mean A TON). I actually have a game plan as to how I want to run this blog and I intend to stick with it because I know it will be much more interesting and fun for you peeps and for me. So, if you'll give me another chance, I'd love to make it up to you.
What I plan on doing is writing about any topics that come to mind that relate to situations or problems many people my age (like teens and older) can relate to. Whether it's school, friends, social life, family, etc., I'll be addressing topics like these. So, I hope you'll join me as I start over fresh.

Hi

So, I know I haven't been here in awhile but I guess I was feeling a little uninspired...or just lazy. I'm not really posting now to talk about anything in particular, just whatever comes to mind ; ) One things for sure though, I'm SO happy that it's finally December! Normally I'd say let it snow and let's get on the huge, funky winter coats and act like we're in a winter wonderland...but do you know how delusional that sounds considering that I live in the "wonderful" So Cal where it never even gets close to snowing, like NEVER. So, until I get the white Christmas that I've always wanted, let's just rock out to "Deck the Halls" and call it a day. So, what's on your Christmas playlist this year? I'd love to know!

If you're looking for something, try "God Rest Ye Merry Gentlemen" by Deas Vail. I barely know this song but I like it so far and maybe you will, too.

Have a great day!

Today...

Hey! Today I had school, like almost every other kid in the U.S. and it wasn't the best day. I'm not saying that it was bad in the sense that by the end of it I felt like gouging everyone's eyes out, more just like those days where you want to just go home as soon as possible (and for some of you, that's everyday). Everything was fine until fourth period, which is chemistry for me, when I forgot that we had a homework assignment, but since my teacher always takes about 10 minutes to start class, I went from having only three questions done to having fifteen done (about a C, better than an F). And then at lunch I found out that there was a mini quiz in APUSH (A.P. U.S. History, if you don't know) and I was supposed to take notes over the weekend because it was open-note but I forgot about that, so I ended up getting 2 out of 5 on the quiz which is about 40% (ugh...). And AFTER THAT, in my next class, Spanish, I found out that we had an online assignment due but at least I wasn't alone in that because my friend had no idea either (I won't even start ranting about that class and my teacher who really isn't a teacher because she doesn't teach! No I shall save that for another time). But it was so ridiculous. THREE CLASSES IN A ROW OF FORGOTTEN HOMEWORK!!! I really need to start writing stuff down or else I'm going to fail the 11th grade.
Well, I guess I'm done with my rant. At least there are a few things to look forward to tonight. The Voice is showing tonight at 8 which means some awesome singing (hopefully). There's also the show after it, the Blacklist. I saw the first episode yesterday and it's not bad at all. If you don't know, it seems to be about this most-wanted criminal that turns himself in to help the FBI catch some other criminals, but he refuses to talk to anyone else but a newbie called Elizabeth King. So they're kind of the main characters and I'm guessing they're going to become reluctant partners, that fight crime, and keep the world safe from hoodlums.
Some other shows I love are Revolution and The Legend of Korra, you should check 'em out. I'll talk about them more later so you can get a feel for 'em. But what shows do you enjoy? Give me your thoughts on these posts too.

Today's song: "Why Georgia" by John Mayer. Most of you will probably know this song just because it was played so much when it came out. John Mayer is an amazing artist, even though he's a womanizer. Have a great day!

Hey, peeps.

This blog is kinda just going to be random and about the daily pleasures of life. This is the third blog that I've created--first one was about different things, the second was about music but I didn't have time for it, but I'm hoping that this one will be successful. In this blog as part of the randomness, I'll be talking about books, music, TV shows, movies, popular stuff, and occasionally, my personal life (which, by the way, isn't as interesting as you might think). But most of all I just want this blog to be fun. I want to have fun writing about all kinds of junk and I want you, yes, YOU, to have fun reading about all the junk. Also, whenever I post, I'll shall share with you a song that I cherish greatly. So, it will kinda go like this:

Today's song is: "Did It Really Even Matter?" by The Rescues. I don't really know how to describe this song but it's awesome so I hope you give it a try.

So, yeah, I suppose that's it...I shall start the real posting tomorrow. Have a wonderful day!
