Candy Crush...and other games (Flappy Bird)

I'm so done with this game.
Or maybe I'm just bitter because I've been stuck on the same level for about a week (level 102, anyone?). I first got into this game last month. I had actually started playing it earlier, when the craze was starting and then I deleted it, but, yeah, I downloaded it again last month and I've played my way to level 102...and now I'm stuck because of those stupid bombs and those stupid ingredients. So, I'm kinda feeling dejected and I'm ready to pretty much give up. And it's not just Candy Crush. It's like every 3 months there's a new game out and a craze that comes along with it that lasts for a few weeks and then it's over (Temple Run, Dots, this stupid game, and the most infamous right now, Flappy Bird). The creator of Flappy Bird, poor guy, took it off the App Store because he knew how addictive and harmful it was becoming to players and on top of that he was receiving death threats from disgruntled players. And while the game was highly addictive and a fuel to my anger issues, after about playing it continuously for a week, I got bored with it. But if you're still a fan and must sustain your addiction, replacement apps have been created, or should I say rip-offs. There's one called Splashy Fish, another named Flappy Wings, and many others - Flappy Swim, Grabby Bird, Flappy the City Flyer, oh, and my favorite, Floppy Worm (I can't believe they used a worm!).
But, anyways, my main point in writing this is that we can't let game manufacturers suck us into these addictive trends. We're better than this so we have to get a hold of ourselves.

P.S. All this talk of Flappy Bird has enticed me to play the game...I just got an 11.

Have a good day!
